The Rutgerson 1580 and 1590 series of receptacles are made from a light, durable composite with very high UV-resistance creating a range of easy to use receptacles ideal for everyday cruising applications and offering excellent value. All the receptacles are front loading making the fitting, adjustment and use easier and have an M10 thread to connect to the Battcar.

The RU-1587 is dimensioned for monohulls from 30' to 42', whilst the larger RU-1597 is suitable for boats between 40' to 52' feet. Both can be used with either round or flat battens. No tools are required to open the lid. You simply press the button and slide off the lid whenever you need to insert or remove a batten. The tensioning is easily adjusted with a key, and the trimming can be monitored through a window in the lid.

The RU-1580 is suitable for boats up to 33'. It takes a range of batten sizes with interchangeable inserts which tension the batten by locating them in different marked positions.

RU-1590, RU-1595 and RU-1596 are fullbatten fittings with adjustable tensioning of the batten for installation at the luff of main sails.The fittings are made to be used with M10-threaded battcars such as Rutgerson’s RU-153x-xx-05, or RU-153x-xx-09. The batten is fitted into the batten pocket from the luff, which means that the batten pocket can be closed at the leech end, which means that no leech fittings is needed. RU-1590, RU-1595 and RU-1596 are suitable for boats from 30’ to 50’.
